| Flogger (English) | A scourge composed by a rigid handle with many thongs. Floggers are made especially for erotic punishment, and the thongs are made of a variety of materials as suede, leather, rubber, rope or even chain. Depending on the number (more tails is less severe) and the material of the tails, it can be used to give from a soft massage to a severe punishment.

| Fusta (Spanish) | Riding crop. A flexible rod or a long and thin whip, used for stimulating horses. It is typically a whalebone or now a fiberglass rod wrapped in leather that has a small leather strap doubled over to act as a slapper at the end. Nowadays, they are also wrapped in nylon with a short (2 to 3 inches) rope acting as a fall. The normal riding crop is about 2 1/2 feet long, but it can be about 3 feet when used for dressage or jumping.
