An uncommon one. You work as a trainer for thieves, and you have to teach
him or her how to pick pockets.
So, for helping him or her learn to pick a wallet unnoticed, you put a
wallet in the pocket of a jacket with jingle bells hanging all around. Put
the jacket on a dummy mannequin, or just hang it on a hanger from somewhere,
and make the sub take out the wallet without making the bells ring.
All failures will be immediately and harshly punished with a cane, a riding
crop, or the like, until s/he succeeds.
In a similar way, the would be pickpocket could also train on a trousers’
back pocket or a women’s handbag.
