Riding a pony

Use her as a pony, and take a ride. You don’t need expensive “human pony” tack for it (but you can get it in the web).

Bit and reins could be replaced by wrapping a long leather strap or a rope around your sub’s head, tying a square knot inside her mouth for the bit (not too tight, don’t hurt her), the hanging ends of the rope or strap can be used as reins.

You will also need stirrups for keeping balance when riding. Just wrap a rope two or three times around the pony’s upper chest at armpits height, above the breasts. Tie a square knot on the middle of the back, tie a loop at the each of the free ends of the rope for the “stirrups”.

Actual ponies use horseshoes for protecting their hoofs. For avoiding (or at least delaying) her knees peeling off, you should use a kneepad (there are many models in sports and orthopedics’ stores, be sure you get one with padding on the knee).

Or at least tape a piece of suede or soft cloth for padding.

You could ride bareback or put a saddle on your pony. For a saddle, you can use a towel, a blanket or a piece of leather, kept in place by a belt or a couple of loops of rope acting as a cinch.

Now you can ride your sub around. Sit on the top of the buttocks, directly above the legs, for not hurting your sub’s lower back. Put your toes on the stirrups for balance.

A cowboy, charro or gaucho (and most working riders) would use both reins on the left hand, using the right for holding a rebenque, cuarta or quirt for keeping the horse going (or for having it free for working, but it isn’t fun)

An “English school” or sports rider would hold a rein in each hand and a riding crop in the left fist.

Do not “hang” from the reins, they are just to signal your pony to turn or stop. Horses are trained to respond to subtle movements of the reins, and horse’s necks are a lot stronger than the human ones. If you pull too hard from the reins, you are going to hurt your sub, damaging or even breaking her neck.

If you lose balance, RELEASE THE REINS, for not hurting your sub.

Don’t punish this way if you are too heavy or much bigger than your sub. You could still ride with your feet on the floor, for supporting part of your weight (but you cannot support too much, with your legs bended).

You can make her carry you as a punishment, or actually use her for moving around the house,  leaving her standing there on all fours when not needed, as you'd do with an actual horse.

Remember that she will peel her knees if riding too long

Enjoy, but be careful.
